I'm so sorry.
dunno what I can say more than that.
we'll have another time we can meet. but I'm sure you've other things on your mind tonight.

Date: 2012-08-31 04:51 pm (UTC)I went back in the journals and looked at what happened when you mum and dad were bit, and maybe here are some things to think about.
First of all, maybe Mr Lupin wasn't lying, exactly. Maybe he was just trying to give you a way to think about what happened in your conversation with your mum that wouldn't hurt so much. Because he is kind. Please don't be angry if I say this, but he did save your mum's life. He refused to bite your parents himself, and he arranged with his friend for them to be bitten using the 'mercy method' instead of getting savaged to death. He couldn't save your dad, but he did save her.
Second...and this may hurt even worse. I'm sorry, but...your parents were bit to punish you. Lord Voldemort commanded it to hurt you. And if you let what your mum said sink in and break your heart, then he's achieved his purpose, you see? Don't give him that power over you, Hermione. Don't do it. Tell yourself your mum is alive, despite everything he did to try to destroy her. She was saved by the kindness of a friend. And yeah, you can't see her now, but maybe you'll see her again someday. I'm sure the Order will continue to do anything they can to help her. Maybe they'll still be able to rescue her, maybe even her whole pack!
Don't lose hope, Hermione.
If you do, then he wins.
Your friend,
Terry
