If this is about what you wrote last time, I'm not cross. You did give me a pause, though.

Mummy's been after me for as long as I can remember, for being too soft, for not being strong-willed like her. I suppose that I had come to think that I couldn't really be corrupted if someone like her never got the job done proper. But then I've done some very bad things too, if you remember, so in the end I don't think anyone is really safe from being used.

I'm more afraid of being influenced by people who are kind to me than people who act awful.

I don't know if anyone can be innocent forever, anyway. Not here in England.
