It's an animal, I'm pretty sure. Not a bird, I think. And not something...something that lives under the water. A curved sort of claw, longer and narrower than my fingernail. Pointed, but not REALLY pointed, like if it were a lion's or anything like that. So not something that hunts with claws. And above the claw it's sprouted with this sort of hair. Fur, I guess. Shortest near the claw but longer up toward the knuckle, like a couple inches.
Do you have some liquor in the room? I know you say he does most of his drinking on Friday and Saturday nights, but can you give him a bottle, get him really pissed? So he won't notice anything?

Terry, if it's too risky to use your wand, if you need something to distract yourself, do multiplication. 2x2 is 4, 2x3 is 6, 2x4 is 8, if you have it memorised just recite it and if you don't, work it out for every number up through 10x10.
Can you tell the Twins I'd really like to read that book? If they could let me know title and section I'll get it on my own.
I would really like to learn the animagus transformation. I don't know if I'll be able to but I'm not even really sure where to start and it sounds like that book has information I haven't been able to find.
